Data collection

WanderJournal does not collect, sell, or use your personal data for tracking or advertising. The app does not require an account.

Photos, locations, and journals

You choose photos through Apple's system photo picker. Selected photos, their metadata, typed or dictated notes, and the journals you create are processed for the features you request and stored by the app. When you are signed in to iCloud, app data can sync through your private CloudKit database so your journals remain available on your devices and after reinstalling the app.

On-device intelligence

Visual understanding and journal drafting run on your device. WanderJournal does not send your memories to a cloud AI provider and does not require a paid AI-token account.

Maps and nearby places

When you ask for place context, the app uses Apple's MapKit services. Apple may process the search request under Apple's own privacy terms. WanderJournal does not operate a server that receives these requests.

Sharing and deletion

Nothing is shared with other people unless you use a system sharing action. You can delete individual journals or delete all journals in Settings. If iCloud sync is active, deletions can synchronize across your devices. Removing the app removes its local copy, while synchronized data may remain in your private iCloud account until deleted through the app or your iCloud data controls.
